Lotagen Gel 20g
An astringent & antiseptic gel, for the treatment of fresh or old wounds or ulcers. Promotes healing & prevents excessive granulation (proud flesh). Can also be used to reduce capillary bleeding in fresh wounds. Lotagen is strongly bactericidal & fungicidal & can be used as an antiseptic in infected wounds.
Contains metacresolsulphonic acid and formaldehyde.
Lotagen gel coagulates pathologically changed & necrotic (dead) tissue & thus aids & accelerates the processes of demarcation & regeneration. Lotagen also causes vasoconstriction when applied to small blood vessels & thus reduces bleeding from wound capillaries.
In old, poorly healing wounds, Lotagen gel selectively coagulates unhealthy tissue while exerting a mild astringent action on healthy tissue.
Directions for Use:
Apply to wounds daily for the first 3 days, & then daily until healing is complete.
Precautions:
- Do not use within 28 days of slaughter for human consumption.
- Lotagen may cause irritation to skin & eyes. Avoid contact.
- Do not bring Lotagen into contact with textiles or leather.
- Wash hands after use.
