	Equinade Stockholm Tar 400g	EQUINADE PURE STOCKHOLM TAR is the only genuine Swedish Pine Tar on the Australian market today. Substitute materials are marketed as stockholm tar, but should not be used as a veterinary product. Whilst black in colour, it is a residue of charcoal production and its correct description is poly phenolic liquor, contains hazardous chemicals and 14% to 22% water. Coal tar is also substituted. This is commonly used in coal tar epoxy enamels and contains benzopyrene (C2OH12), is hazardous and toxic. These products are hardly suitable for veterinarian applications. EQUINADE PURE STOCKHOLM TAR is 100% pure pine tar, is free of water and produced by special extraction and vacuum distilled. As distinct from destructive distillation where phenols are formed, in the genuine product no such nasty substances are created. Genuine Pine Tar is non-toxic and not flammable (flashpoint of 110 C). It has a mild antiseptic action and is commonly used as an ingredient in preparations for skin diseases, tar soaps, medicated shampoos, animal dips and foot preparations for animals. . QTY:
